I Knew It Was Over

I knew it was over when he looked up and I saw his eyes. Once so green now golden and filled with hate. Time slowed and all I could do was watch as his body filled with darkness and he was lost to me for ever. I dropped my weapon. It landed with a 'clang' as it hit the ground. Nothing matter any more, I had lost the feeling in my hands and my mind went num. I didn't want to fight any more. I had lost so many friends in this pointless war and now the only thing I had left was gone too. He slowly stood we locked eyes as he took a step closer to me he swung his blade and knocked down everything in his path as he made his way slowly towards me, his eyes still locked on to mien. I slowly picked up my blade and took my place agesnt him, we had done this hundreds of time before. However I was never scared until now. I never thought it would end like this. We were about 2 meeter's a way now. A tear rolled down my cheek and I looked in to his eyes because maybe just maybe there was something left. But it was hopeless and I knew that it would be the finale fall.....
